Indian Truck Drivers Welfare Consortium (ITDWC) was working towards the welfare, growth and holistic development of the truck drivers for more than 5 years and it’s registered under Indian Trust Act as the mouthpiece related to nations transport industry. It was well known that the truck drivers are the backbone of road transport industries and supply chain particularly they take major role in increasing the Indian economy on supplying the goods & materials and function of Automobile Industries. They are the backbone of the transport industry, Shipping Industry and pillars of Indian economy. The Nations growth and development depends upon the truckers as they play vital role in the supply chain on delivering the goods and commodity to the consumers in loops and corners of the Districts, State & Nation. They have taken a great effort in transporting the basic materials to the public to meet the daily essential needs during the COVID 19 pandemic situations. They even didn’t cared about their life they have done a great service which needs to be realized by everyone.

ITDWC is a recognized organization and generously working as a powerful mechanism and pillar for increasing the economy of the Indian road transport and playing supportive role for the Ministry of Road transport and highways (MORTH)


ITDWC works Nation wide and having about lakhs of truck drivers as it's members and spreads across the length and breadth of the country.

ITDWC is a proud member of International Road Transport Union (IRU Geneva),Truckload Carriers Association(Alexandria) , ITCILO- International Labour Organization and in various trade forum like CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM. It represent issues of the truck drivers and Indian transport industry with the Central and State Government and other authorities like planning commission.


ITDWC have been approved by the Income Tax Department under section 80G and 12AA of Income Tax Act. It has certified approval on CSR registration and being eligible to receive funds from corporate companies under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Indian Truck Drivers Welfare Consortium serves for the protection of rights, welfare and social development for the truck drivers all over the nation. Moreover it works as a bridge between the government and drivers in their contribution on developing the Indian economy. Indian Truck drivers welfare consortium creates strong linkage and coordination between the Government, Goods Transport Department, drivers through this Indian Truck drivers Welfare Consortium aim to strengthen road and truck transport department for developing the Indian economy.

Highlights on the Activities



About 25,000 truck Drivers and stakeholders got awareness about the COVID 19 prevention strategies supported by Indian Oil Corporation Limited in collaboration with Tamilnadu Health Department.

More Than 5,000 truck drivers had attended eye check up throughout the nation.

Created sensitization program on HIV/AIDS for the truck drivers.

More than 20,000 truck drivers were provided COVID 19 relief materials and food, water and provisional items in partnership with various stakeholders and Chennai Petroleum corporation of India.

Awareness was created to the truck drivers on benefits of Eshram and more than thousands of truck drivers were enrolled in the scheme.

Job placement were done for the truck drivers who have met with accidents and become disabled.

Conducted various road safety awareness campaign for the truck drivers on preventing them from road accidents.

While playing a key role in the economic development of our country, the Indian Road Transport Industry is helping the Indian economy in optimal distribution and allocation of country's scarce resources, thereby maximizing country's wealth as well as carrying the essential commodities consumed by the masses to every nook and corner of the country.
